Autism specialist needed for Special Educational Service Agency (SESA). Travel to school districts across Alaska providing consultation and support to school teams working with students with autism. Based out of Anchorage position requires travel on jet and small planes. Specialists stay in remote sites for 3-5 days and travel 3-4 weeks out of a month. All work related travel is paid by agency. An amazing opportunity to provide autism services while seeing the northern lights and the beautiful state of Alaska.

  • Bachelors or masters degree in special education/autism
  • Teacher certification
  • Experience/preference for working with distance education technologies.
  • Experience/preference working with assistive technology

Additional Salary Information: Up to $3000 in reimbursable relocation expenses.
About Special Education Service Agency (SESA)
SESA is an educational service agency comprised of a low incidence disability service inclusive of a statewide lending library. Low incidence disabilities include autism, deaf and hard of hearing, vision impairment, emotional disabilities, and multiple disabilities. In addition, SESA operates two grants: Alaska Autism Resource Center (AARC) & Alaska Deaf Blind Project (DSI)
