The College of Education at Eastern Oregon University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Education (Special Education).
This position is located on the main campus in La Grande, OR, and is a full-time, nine-month tenure track position in Special Education with defined curricular expertise in Special Education.
Candidates should demonstrate • Commitment to quality teaching. • Effectiveness in applying technology to teaching. • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, administration, and public school personnel. • Experience with State licensure requirements and procedures. • Conduct research and scholarly activities as well as engage in service to the University and community. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Appointment begins September 15, 2019.
ABD in Special Education, with a strong academic background.
Experienced University teaching in special education in areas of mild, moderate and severe disabilities.
Must be eligible for state special education licensure and have a valid teaching license.
This position requires at least three years of K-12 Special Education experience.
Higher education teaching experience in both face to face and online is highly recommended for a successful candidacy.
Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check.
Valid work authorization documents required.
