The Program Director provides the school-based leadership required to sustain a focus on improving instruction for the purpose of increasing achievement of all students in a safe learning environment while coordinating the administrative, educational, and related service activities within the school.

Position details:Demonstrates that student learning is the top priority through leadership actions that build and support a learning organization focused on student success.
Collaboratively develops and implements an instructional framework that aligns effective instructional practices and student learning needs by engaging in data analysis for instructional planning and improvement.
Recruits, retains, and develops an effective staff by generating a focus on student and professional learning activities.
Identifies staff instructional proficiency needs and implements professional learning that enables staff to deliver relevant and differentiated instruction.
Manages the organization, operations, and facilities in ways that maximize the use of resources and promotes a safe and efficient learning environment.
Plans and monitors school budget and maximizes the impact of fiscal resources on instructional priorities.
Structures and monitors a school learning environment that improves learning for a diverse student population and engages faculty in recognizing and understanding the developmental issues and unique learning needs of students.
Monitors the fidelity of teaching and behavioral programs to ensure that students are making adequate progress and mastering skills that will promote independence.
Uses student performance data to inspire and design an on-going professional development program for program staff.
Participates in on-going personal professional development through conferences, trainings, and seminars to remain current with the research and best practices for teaching and learning.
Attends and participates in all required program meetings.
Supports RVP of Operations with compliance with State Board of Education regulations and Chancelight/Spectrum Center’s internal standards.

Required Skills/Job Requirements:
Master's degree in Education, Special Education or School Administration or other closely related field of study.
Additional preferred skills, abilities, and qualifications include: 3 years of successful teaching experience; 3 years of successful administrative experience; ability to communicate with non-English speakers; and knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures and current educational trends and research.
It is preferred that an individual performing this job have a valid Florida School Principal or Educational Leadership Certification; a current and valid state or national teaching certification; and a valid state driver’s license.
Strong language, communication, mathematical, and computer skills and reasoning ability required.
