Work in beautiful Boulder Colorado communities! Boulder Valley School District is expanding their quality programming to meet the needs of students with autism in the district.
Responsibilities: The Elementary or Secondary Autism Intensive Learning Center teacher will provide an instructional learning environment that includes coordination, training and collaboration with a team of paraprofessionals and general education teachers and administrators. Student delivery of services will include inclusive co-teaching, direct instruction, assessment, IEP development, program delivery and progress monitoring. The teacher will be a collaborative team member with general education teacher, psychologist, SLP, OT and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) professionals. The teacher will communicate and partner with parents in the educational process.
QualificationsRequired: -Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement as Special Education Generalist or the equivalent or the appropriate endorsement for the student population (or CDE licensure application in process) -Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application
Preferred: -Skills and experience in collaboration and co-teaching with classroom teachers and support professionals -Training or experience in serving English Language Learners (ELL) students -Technology and software skills and experience–Infinite Campus and Frontline/Excent Enrich.
