The candidate must be able to teach content area methods courses (e.g., Characteristics and Curricular Adaptations, Consultation and Collaboration, Assessment, Instructional Strategies, etc.) and field experience supervision in the area of mild/moderate disabilities. The candidate will teach at the Bakersfield campus.
Master’s or Doctorate in Special Education
Earned a Clear Education Specialist Credential or equivalent in the area of mild/moderate disabilities
Minimum of five years of K-12 public school teaching and/or clinical experience serving students with disabilities in cross-cultural settings
Experience teaching university-level courses, and conducting field experience supervision
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with candidates, staff, faculty, and partners
Experience with alternative special education delivery systems that integrate special and general education services
Experience with instructional technology
Experience with online teaching
Demonstrated commitment to diversity
