Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP) is a community-based research institute affiliated with the Life Span Institute at University of Kansas. JGCP is located off-campus in Kansas City, KS in the Children’s Campus of Kansas City. We seek to hire a full-time Assistant Research Professor.
Investigators at the JGCP are conducting a nationally-recognized program of research to: (a) develop and validate interventions with parents, teachers, and care providers to improve developmental outcomes of infants, toddlers and young children; (b) develop and validate measures for monitoring children's progress acquiring language and literacy skills; and (c) evaluate instructional and behavioral interventions for children and adolescents who are not making expected rates of progress. The expectation for the Assistant Research Professor is to begin to establish a program of externally-funded research. The position is located in Kansas City, KS. Doctoral Degree in early childhood education, special education, behavior analysis, or related
Two years’ minimum experience attaining and directing federally-funded research
Minimum of two publications in peer-reviewed
Evidence of a program of research carried out in community-based settings.
Additional Salary Information: $72,000 - $80,000, annually, commensurate with education and experience.
